Description luigiraffaele22 2015-11-14 08:27:53 UTC
I have tried to export to pdf the file attached, but the exporter stop working after about 70% of work. The Windows of writer remain active but the pdf exporting don't go on. The status bar remains stopped.

No attachment? Please add it, and set status back to unconfirmed.
Comment 2 luigiraffaele22 2015-11-14 17:22:46 UTC
I have send the attachment. It's the .odf file I have tried to export to pdf
Comment 3 V Stuart Foote 2015-11-14 18:06:04 UTC
Still no attachment.

Please, simply attach it to this issue report using the "Add an attachment" link above.

It will help you to use your web browser to upload the file from your system and make it available with this Bugzilla issue.

Suspect this to be an OpenGL rendering issue and duplicate of bug 94831, or possibly bug 94739

But absent a test document and no response to needinfo closing as invalid.

@luigiraffaele22@libero.it -- if you test workaround as in bug 94831, and that does not resolve your export to PDF and printing, reopen and attach your test document. We'll have a look.
Comment 5 V Stuart Foote 2015-11-29 14:05:34 UTC
@luigiraffaele22,

My apologies!

Rather than 94831 that duplicate is bug 94851 -- Images are not printed (paper and PDF) with OpenGL activated.

Please either close status as duplicate of that, or attach a test document that demonstrates the issue, and reset status to unconfirmed.

This is not an actionable issue otherwise and will be closed.

I'm trying to send the attachment many times, but when I add the file and send it, the browser tell me that the page doesn't exist....
The file is Greater than 10MB, so is this the cause?
Is there any way to send file Greater than 10Mb.
Comment 7 V Stuart Foote 2015-11-29 15:38:20 UTC
@luigiraffaele22,

Yes, there is an upper limit to size of attachments--set to 10MB

Please, see if you can reduce the file (delete some pages, remove some images) to get a test file that *still* hangs as in your initial report. Of course if it no longer hangs, check if what you deleted (images or formatted paragraphs) alone causes the hang--we're looking for the smallest test file that still causes the issue for you.

A couple of other items. Please identify the version of LibreOffice you are working with--copy strings from the Help -> About LibreOffice and paste it into a comment here, and update the Version field above.

Also some details about your Windows system -- 32 or 64bit, graphics card, local and language? You can grab lines from the *System Summary* report of running the "msinfo32.exe" from the Windows Run dialog or a command window. And from that same session-- open the Components -> Display panel to copy Graphics adapter and driver details.

Finally, please check from LibreOffice Tools -> Options -> View: the checkbox status of "Use OpenGL for all rendering" (as for your location/language). If checked on, and you uncheck it and restart LibreOffice--does your Export to PDF of the original document complete? If so, this is probably going to be a duplicate of bug 94851

Sorry for the hassle--but these bug reports do need some care and feeding...

Stuart

No worries! But, please closely review each page of the exported PDF. We have the other OpenGL related issue of bug 94739 -- PDF Exporting Diagonal, that could be involved.

Much of the trouble comes from efforts to get OpenGL rendering done correctly--allowing supported hardware and "blacklisting" mixes of hardware and drivers that do not perform correctly. Unfortunately it is highly dependent on drivers and specific GPU in use.

@luigiraffaele22, *

Sorry, back to you as Needinfo...

Are all images in the exported PDF clean and well formatted? If so, please close this as Works for Me. If not please describe the issues, and check it against bug 94739 if the same--this issue could be resolved as duplicate of that.
