Description nemzag 2016-02-03 21:47:59 UTC
Hi,

I have a problem,
I use now Open Office & Libre Office,
because libre office crash to much,
I use the same "Google Drive" pro "path used".

But the All modification have two name different :

- acor_.dat (open office)
- acor_und.dat (open office)

Also I would able to set the name of the files of auto-correction like this :

Now "acor_en-GB.dat" "acor_en-GB_MYNAME.dat"
Now "acor_fr-BE.dat" "acor_fr-BE_MYNAME.dat"

Are the files on Google Drive?

Hi,

Beluga (are you Belgian Beluga like me ?)

Yes most file are the "Google Drive" Hard Drve path :
C:\Users\Arifi Gazmen\Google Drive

When I asked pro Cloud support pro "libre office" in "Auto Correction window",
- https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97096
- https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97214

I didn't know that we were able to set path (like that I can use the Google Drive one), but being able to choose name of the file & path would be better, and I still think that having directly the possibility to set Cloud Drive directly in the main Libre Office Autocorrector would be easier}.

Kanth you. Ʒood day.

For the name problem, you could consider using hard links: https://techjourney.net/create-symbolic-links-hard-links-and-directory-junction-points-in-windows-with-mklink/

You should only modify the data that is in your LibreOffice profile, in C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\user\autocorr

Kanth pro your suggestion, but I'm a simple man, and I don't want to use external tool, I would like to be apple to do it in Setting / path, it would be easier pro.

Why to made change only in Libre Office if you allow to edit the path ?
I need a common path pro Libre & Open Office,
and also the name of the files...

That is best, and I love & want that...

Ʒood day. Kanth you.

It's highly unlikely that a developer is going to want to create a specialize feature like this. If LibreOffice is too unstable for you, you are probably using the wrong version. First try resetting your user profile[1], then try a 4.x stable (stale) build.

If you can reproduce your crashes, please file bug reports for them. These will get developer attention and will get fixed.

I cant' use the version 4, because I need the ".* .*" command in Auto‑correction, so I'm obligated to use the 5.

I don't understand why do you refuse to add a simple featune like "choose name" of the file since you allow to choose "path"...

> It's highly unlikely

That’s the key. We don’t rule out that somebody will implement it in the future.

I edited summary lines to make clearer that the report is about.
the feature request you asked for has never been availble in OOo/LibO so the version is "inherited from OOo"

I have to correct you: the acor_.dat is the global autocorrect database in OOo while acor_und.dat is the name of the same file in LibO

basically they are the same files but have different names in OOo and LibO
