when saving in .doc and .docx format, single cell spacing (not ALL cells) isn’t kept after saving, closing and reopening the file. I’ve tested with adding some space to the right only.
Please give exact steps for reproducing or give an .odt file we can save to doc/docx. Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.
Created attachment 123766 [details] Cell spacing bug when save as doc
File .odt attached. 1. I select a cell 2. right click > table properties… 3. borders > spacing to contents > left: [a value] 4. save (odt) 5. close file 6. open file. It’s OK. 7. save as > .doc 8. close file 9. open .doc file, cell spacing disappeared.
I can not confirm with Version: 5.2.0.0.alpha0+, win7 In your .odt file I see spacing to contens = 0.
I’m on Mac OS X
Created attachment 123767 [details] how it looks like in Mac Os (left space on the left cell)
Now I can reproduce from scratch / spacing need to be apply on one cell only. When spacing is applied on whole table, then it works. Reproducible also with Version 4.0.0.3
** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Created attachment 159821 [details] tdf90408_fontsizeChanged.doc: using this as the unit test. One interesting thing I haven't researched yet is that the top two rows import a tiny third column at the end. It isn't there in Word 2003. Is it just to expand the those rows to the table end position? In Word, those rows look minimally smaller.

(In reply to BogdanB from comment #13) > My LO app crash when opening the document from comment 2. Or after step 5 > (from the comment 3). My Ubuntu 20.04 and 16.04 don't crash at all, either loading or after saving, with compiled master from May 9.
