Even though show hidden paragraphs is checked, hidden text is not visible. (checking or unchecking option has no effect.) Only way to see it is to unhide it. This is a change from a not too far back version when hidden text could be made visible.

Created attachment 123413 [details] A piece of a document with about 15 lines of hidden text There are about 15 lines of text between the date and the phone number (I left the final CR unhidden to create a space). They used to be visible as dotted underlined text but now are not visible at all. I tried saving as "odt" but there was no difference.
Don, please be specific when reporting a bug with the exact expected and reproduced steps. Hidden Paragraphs may refer to https://help.libreoffice.org/Writer/Hidden_Paragraphs which doesn't show hidden text: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81692#c5. I guess you're referring to simple hidden text that's not shown in 5.0 although it's on in Tools - Options - LibreOffice Writer - Formatting Aids. Well, no explanation, but it works again in 5.1 so "stay tuned" :) I close as WFM. Feel free to set back to Unconfirmed if proved otherwise.
