I have coordination problems, and trying to draw often descends into repeatedly trying to select one object, finding LibreOffice has selected and decided to drag and drop another, waiting for it to resolve the drag and drop, selecting undo, waiting for it to resolve the undo, and trying again to select that one object. Steps to reproduce: 1. Have coordination problems. 2. Work with complex images, so LibreOffice stutters and freezes. 3. Work with overlapping objects, so if you miss one, LibreOffice will pick another. Steps to mitigate, but not solve: 1. Use an external monitor and an external mouse. 2. Disable antialiasing, so LibreOffice doesn't stutter and freeze as badly. 3. Zoom in. Arrrgh! Not Again! 4. If you can select the objects, use the position and size menu for fine placement.
Hello MarjaE, Thank you for reporting the bug. Unfortunately without clear steps to reproduce it, we cannot track down the origin of the problem. Please provide a clearer set of step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the problem. If you can not reproduce it with new file then also provide a sample file, please. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the requested info is provided. (Please note that the attachment will be public, remove any sensitive information before attaching it. See https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FAQ#How_can_I_eliminate_confidential_data_from_a_sample_document.3F for help on how to do so.)
Instructions don't work. I can submit a sample, but I don't know any way to strip the text from the samplr asnd can't see any explanation. "How" doesn't explain "how". I ought to remove my existing samples.
Another case of the same latency issue as 93540. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 93540 ***
