This bug depends on several issues concerning sound effects.

To be franky, currently LO Impress functionality is only limited,
i.e. you can only use it

- if the presentation is run on the same computer as the design computer
- if there is no (custom) sounds in your presentation, that is:
- if you only use built-in sound for slide transition 
- if you don't need sound for image effects...

I object to marking this bug as duplicate.
This bug is saying that libreoffice impress is BROKEN.
It is dysfunctional for most cases.
Of course, there might be further bugs that should be
solved before you could call impress usable again,
hence I understand your step.

But, at least, please, rise the priority of 100540 to high!

Please be specific. Saying the whole app is broken is not a bug report.
