I am new to Impress, trying to create a page in Portrait orientation. Apparently this worked in earlier versions. I saw in Release Notes that menus were reorganized recently. The resident Help file and online Help say to go FORMAT > PAGE, but there is no PAGE item on the FORMAT tab. The SLIDE tab has a submenu for Page/Slide Properties, and this does it. I also found an icon in the toolbar, a spanner in front of a generic page icon, that provides this adjustment, but I cannot find it on any menus.
Let's set to NEW.

Unassigning myself. Here is what remains to be done. Four submenus need to be made and embedded into source/text/simpress/main_format.xhp (and then the existing <h2> headings or embeds from swriter/main0105.xhp can be removed.) The submenus are: 1. "Align Text" submenu, Note: Writer, Calc, Draw, Impress all need this submenu and all have the same commands, so best to make it a /shared menu. (shared/01/05080000.xhp is already halfway to being this submenu, but it needs some adjustment and elaboration). 2. "Lists" submenu. (only 6 elements, with existing help pages; need to embed appropriate elements into the submenu). 3. "Table" submenu (many elements, but help pages exist for them, a matter of making the appropriate embeds). 4. "Image" submenu
