Dror: as Thomas could reproduce on Linux with 5.3, but Xisco not with 5.4, maybe you could try a master build (5.4): http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86@42/current/ This way we will know, if the bug has been fixed in some commit that did not make it to 5.3.0.
Bug is indeed fixed in 5.4.
Probably a regression. This bug still exists in LibreOffice 7.1. Before I found it here, I reported it three days ago as bug #145047: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145047
