** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! This is a "Closed band arrow flowchart" (or similar, translating back to English) type SmartArt with "White outline" SmartArt-Style. Still appears with an extra white outline in current master.
Looks like this was first imported in 4.2.0.4, since a commit in the following range (single commit in bibisect-42max): https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/log/?qt=range&q=3ea6e49f581ef9d28cc2c3374426b5fac8627802..be55ed02c0cdc590c044491b9b8f7cc8bdddd3c4
Created attachment 181328 [details] Sample compared I don't see a bug here. LO in an appropriate way shows that there is Line around shape. Please explain what exactly is expected?
As the description says: "incorrect textbox shadow/thin line below textbox". Impress shouldn't show what isn't there.
In MSO, that line around blends with white background so you don't know it's there. LO shows it so it's better solution to me. What's the point of white line on white? If not needed, should be removed. So my position is : NotABug.
(In reply to Timur from comment #10) > In MSO, that line around blends with white background so you don't know it's > there. > LO shows it so it's better solution to me. Users often create their files by using the office suite in a suboptimal, and somewhat random way to achieve the desired result. They won't care about what the better solution is, but they will notice that their file looks different in Impress than in PowerPoint.
NeedsUXeval because of disagreement over bug status.
The document opens with shadow disabled in MSO PP but enabled (yet not checked) in Impress. Looks like a bug. Miklos, what do you think?
(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #13) > The document opens with shadow disabled in MSO PP but enabled (yet not > checked) in Impress. Checking and unchecking Shadow solves the issue by forcing shadow off. Btw, the thumbnail preview is distorted.
In Impress 7.4, on Linux, and with imported PowerPoint files, occasionally _graphics_ - perhaps only _rotated_ graphics? - show a white border on a _dark_ background.
The problem is still reproducible with the latest LO 7.6 dev master: Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 2478d4b1a4cec495f1bf68f1e62c01031cdeec86 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: fa-IR (fa_IR); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
