Each gallery element has an name (at least an d... name) would it be possible to use the autocorrect function to load an gallery element with write the name of the gallery element.

This could be usefull if you have emojies in an gallery (BUG 131913), but can be also usefull to use other gallery elements.

I don't think a shortcut like S~ymbols (Alt+Y) solves the problem, which is actually accessibility. Question is how average people find and select quickly a symbol and how disabled users do the job. My answer would be bug 81880, a search functionality. The default sidebar interaction is clearly defined so after searching for Foo you would get Foo1..FooX and per tab jump to the list where the cursor is your friend.
