Description Lars-Erik 2020-09-18 06:59:37 UTC
Hello!

Today 200917 I downloaded LibreOffice 7.0.2.1 RC1. LibreOffice suddenly dies and start recovering the document I opend and it's not possible to save a document as PDF-file. I looked at following directory, /home/leng/.config/libreoffice/4/crash/ and found this file: dump.ini

ProductName=LibreOffice
Version=7.0.2.1
BuildID=ede20268f3f8777cdf69e0281835d320c41213fc
URL=https://crashreport.libreoffice.org/submit/
UseSkia=false
AdapterVendorId=NVIDIA Corporation
AdapterDeviceId=GeForce GTX 1060 3GB/PCIe/SSE2
UseOpenGL=false
Language=en-US
ShutDown=true

Could it be the nvidia-driver that cause the problems?

Could you check you got last graphic driver?
Also, could you give a try at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps ?

I just realized you used Linux.
Which distrib do you use?
How did you install LO 7.0.2? (by downloading package on LO website or by using repos)

I use Fedora 32 x86_64 with the latest updates. My user interface is XFCE. Kernel is: 5.8.9-200.fc32.x86_64. I have no trouble with other programs, it's just LibreOffice. It has worked well before, but not now for couple of weeks.
I have returned to Emacs for simple word processing now and I hope this will help you.
For your information, I removed all directories that belongs to LibreOffice and made a clean installation. Did not help.

Ok so you used the Fedora repo with yum/dnf.
Thank you for your feedback. Since I don't have more questions, I'll put it back to UNCONFIRMED.

Hello!

I downloaded following development version of LO:

master~2020-09-19_14.41.13_LibreOfficeDev_7.1.0.0.alpha0_Linux_x86-64_rpm.tar.gz

and run a couple of tests.

1. Fire LO up and wait. After a bout 30 seconds i dies.
2. Checked and uncheck OpneGl from Options menu. It did not help. Result as in 1.
3. Started LO i safe mode, result as 1 and 2.

Save a document as PDF-file don't work as I have mentioned earlier.
I have no idea of what the problem is. LO works whit Centos 7.8 and 8.2 as far as I now. Use these operating systems on two laptops. I hope this will help to solved the problem.

Hello!

For now I use Mate with Fedora 34 and ther latest stable version of Libreoffice 7.1.4.2. I have no problems with that configuration. I end up using XFCE in the summer last year, so I think the problems is in that Desktop Manager. I hope this will help you.

Thanks
