After spending months working in Windows with a set of macros mapped to keyboard shortcuts, when I attempted to switch to Linux (or MacOS) and found my shortcuts do not work. Here is a list of shortcuts that I use that I've found not working so far, For macos, CMD+Shift+. CMD+Shift+, CMD+Shift+[ CMD+Shift+] ALT+[ ALT+] For Linux CNTRL+Shift+. CNTRL+Shift+, and under KDE for some reason, CNTRL+Shift+[ CNTRL+Shift+] In fact going through the list offered under Tools -> Customize -> Keyboard, there are many many more. The layout doesn't make a difference. I've checked Writer component in v6, v7.0.6 and v7.1.3/4 since that's all I se but a quick look at Calc seems to suffer for similar issues.
(In reply to Jordi from comment #0) > For Linux > > CNTRL+Shift+. > CNTRL+Shift+, For me, Ctrl-Shift-. works, but Ctrl-Shift-comma does not NixOS Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ / LibreOffice Community Build ID: b1df9c67349cf4cc5be4128d797aefb87f50e38f CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 5.13; UI render: default; VCL: x11 Locale: fi-FI (fi_FI.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
Decided to take another look at the Linux situation and see if there was any progress. My system, Version: 24.2.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 420(Build:2) CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.8; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Ubuntu package version: 4:24.2.2-0ubuntu1 Calc: threaded Found the following not working, CNTRL+Shift+] CNTRL+Shift+. CNTRL+Shift+, Interestingly, under Tools|Customize|Keyboard, when I press CNTRL+Shift+] to take me to the entry for that key, it takes me to CNTRL+Shift+} (curly brace)! My macros for CNTRL+Shift+[ and CNTRL+Shift+] are mapped and listed above it, but the application is detecting it as } not ]. Other apps are not having issues detecting the key combo correctly. Likewise, the entries for CNTRL+Shift+. and CNTRL+Shift+, are there but the Tools|Customize screen doesn't jump to them as with the others. Again no issues with other apps.
Happy New Year folks! Thought I'd take another look given that Windows 10 has reached its EOL and it is no longer supported. Installed latest ubuntu in a VM and used Libreoffice that came with it, Version: 24.2.7.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 420(Build:2) CPU threads: 2; OS: Linux 6.14; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Ubuntu package version: 4:24.2.7-0ubuntu0.24.04.4 Calc: threaded And just to be safe, I created an X session with no desktop & window manager. The result when typing the shortcuts in the Tools|Customize|Keyboard screen: CTRL+Shift+] detected as CNTRL+Shift+} which is unassigned and doesn't work. CTRL+Shift+= isn't detected CTRL+Shift+3 works but takes me to CTRL+Shift+# entry instead which is unassigned!! CTRL+Shift+8 isn't detected CTRL+Shift+. isn't detected CTRL+Shift+, isn't detected Can we put a priority on this PLEASE?!
