Created attachment 178924 [details] Picture showing the incorrect functioning of the check updates panel (I am aware of bug 50421, and it says it's resolved in 7.2.3, but I updated LibreOffice today to 7.2.5 and the issue is still there.) Immediately after updating LibreOffice on Windows 10 and macOS Monterey (Intel), when 'Check for updates' is clicked in the menu, the update checker panel displays what appears to be inactive controls and is non-functional. "Checking..." is displayed with a caret in front of it, the progress wheel displays but isn't animated, an empty progress bar is displayed along with "0%" with a field that overlaps the 'Resume' button. (See screenshot attached to this bug)
It should be noted that after the non-functioning update panel is displayed, closing, then reopening LibreOffice will display a working update panel until the program is updated again.

I'm very surprised that this is still marked 'Unconfirmed' as there are others who have reported this. It's still happening as of 7.3.4.2. Here's a video of what it does: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCw9sa3s6Wc
Created attachment 182963 [details] broken update dialog on first launch on macOS 7.4.1.2 Version: 7.4.1.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 3c58a8f3a960df8bc8fd77b461821e42c061c5f0 CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 12.6; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: de-DE (en_DE.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Confirmed → New 1. Installed 7.4.1.2 2. on first launch, open Help > Check for Updates… 3. update dialog shows (identical to what is seen in bug demo video by Will (thanks for that). Added screenshot for macOS (the issue is identical and seems trivial to confirm).

Dear will.brokenbourgh2877, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-UntouchedBug
