Description: Afaik LO does not offer a proper update mechanism on macOS. Yes there is the MAS version, but this ticket is about TDF buld from LO website. When checking for updates with LO 6.0.2.1 the first time in my life I saw some action in that dialog. It seemed it was indeed downloading the update. The install button became enabled which again never happened before. Pressing "Install" resulted in attached crash. Steps to Reproduce: Interestingly it was not reproducible for me. But proof crash log + screenshot of the updater dialog on macOS with install enabled and missing strings + download active attached. Actual Results: LO crash Expected Results: update should be installed via a Mar updater, but this is not implemented yet, so the usual link to website would be expected and correct behavior. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.13; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0

Confirming with an attempted update from 6021 to 603 on a macmini 10.13.4
Hmm, I have only managed to reproduce this once. All subsequent clean reinstallations an update attempts failed to trigger the display of the install button.

- retested this by installing 7.4.0 - open writer - help menu > Check for Updates… - 7.4.1 found - clicking Download… This opens LO website and install button never becomes active. Since my guess is, that above is expected behavior, filed a follow-up bug to remove "Install" button on macOS: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=151466
After investigating further, this seems to be a duplicate of #148043. While 148043 is newer still setting this here to duplicate status, since 148043 has a better dedscription of the issue. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 148043 ***
