It is not possible to define chapters/sections in Impress presentations, unlike in Writer documents or Latex/Beamer presentations. Some desirable features are the automatic creation of indexes or navigating to a specific slide in exported PDF documents.
Hi Javier, thanks for reporting. Could you see if what you're requesting is the same as in bug 107932 ?
Hi Rafael, No, it is not the same. In Writer, the exported PDF document has an outline with the structure of the document according to the headings. There is no way of defining such headings in Impress.
We would first need to implement bug 71854. Then, we could have several options available in the PDF export dialog for "Export bookmarks", or as recommend in bug 107932 comment 7, "Export outline". These could be "Sections" and "Titles". Would that make sense, UX team?
(In reply to Stéphane Guillou (stragu) from comment #3) > Then, we could have several options available in the PDF export dialog... > Would that make sense, UX team? Absolutely, but I don't see why need to establish an hierarchy in the slides (aka grouping). Rafael requests to export slide outline rather than slide titles in PDF index/outline. These outlines are taken from the slide titles. (In reply to Javier from comment #0) > It is not possible to define chapters/sections in Impress presentations... This is indeed bug 71854 => duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 71854 ***
