Created attachment 186206 [details] details.pdf As per attached screenshot, when one inserts a table, then opens Table Properties, the active tab has white text with white background, preventing one from seeing what is active. Version: 7.5.1.2 (AARCH64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: fcbaee479e84c6cd81291587d2ee68cba099e129 CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 13.1; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
Please test with a clean profile, Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode
Same thing same problem in safe mode.
Seems you have enabled dark mode. Verify it is selected also in LibreOffice. Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice/Application Colors - Color Scheme. or maybe accessibility options Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice/Accessibility
Created attachment 186228 [details] options.pdf I don't recall ever actively adjusting anything in either area (see attached for current configurations).
Please play a bit with the Options for High Contrast.
Created attachment 186231 [details] Appearance.pdf Here is what I just tried changing from the defaults and what happened: 1) LibreOffice > Preferences > LibreOffice > Accessibility > High Contrast: > from: Automatic to either: Disable Enable Still white text on white background. For Enable, it did change other colors within the GUI. 2) LibreOffice > Preferences > LibreOffice > Application Colors > Scheme: > from: LibreOffice to: LibreOffice Dark Still white text on white background. Other colors changed within the GUI. 3) System Settings > Appearance > under Appearance change from: Dark to: Light This changed it to black text with white background with the default (i.e. as it came installed) LO settings. Hence, I think it's reasonable to adjust how LO defaults colors to control for if the user changes the appearance to either Light or Dark in System Settings.
I'm not able to confirm, also tested things like in comment #6 Version: 7.5.1.2 (AARCH64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: fcbaee479e84c6cd81291587d2ee68cba099e129 CPU threads: 10; OS: Mac OS X 13.2.1; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
Using the same OS Appearance settings, and same LO view settings, I found that the defining factor is the use of the OS setting Accessibility > Display > Increase contrast (the white outline of the fields in the LO dialog gave it away). Reproduced in: Version: 7.6.4.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: e19e193f88cd6c0525a17fb7a176ed8e6a3e2aa1 CPU threads: 2; OS: Mac OS X 13.2.1; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: osx Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded

Sorry, I was accidently using the wrong bug number in the commits (comments 11 to 13), these are actually for tdf#159323. Reopening this one...
