Stupid bugzilla submitted the bug while I was typing the title because I hit the Enter key instead of ">". Anyway… in 25.8, if your UI mode is set to "GroupedBar Compact", there are some apps where the "Menu > User Interface" action is not available, so it is effectively impossible to switch to a different user interface. * Writer: affected * Calc: affected * Draw: not affected (menu item is present) * Impress: not affected (menu item is present) --- Tested on: Version: 25.8.0.4 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 48f00303701489684e67c38c28aff00cd5929e67 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Flatpak

Can not confirm on Windows builds against 25.8.1 In the Groupedbar Compact MUFFIN UI, the Menu provides button for the 'User interface...' dialog. Present for all modules and present on both the MUFFIN 'Menu' drop list assemblage, and on the legacy main menu when the 'Menubar' is selected active. Huh! Well I tested again and it was still happening, so I went into "Toolbars > Customize > Reset" and reset all those groupedbar toolbars for every app, and that made it work correctly now. This is a bit strange considering that I'm fairly sure I never turned off that toolbar menu entry (I don't even know where to find it in the list in that dialog), but I guess that makes it a borked config issue and that it will not be actionable to troubleshoot and solve. Sorry for the false positive there, I had not suspected a borked config because I did not toggle off that menu item myself, as far as I know.
