Description: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open an image file (I've tried .jpg and .png) with LibreOffice Draw (attached file LibreOffice_7.5_Draw_Icon.svg.png). 2. Select the image and 8 resize handles show correctly (attached file ImageSelected.png). 3. Right-click and choose Crop. Two crop handles are missing and those that show are distorted (attached file CropToolSelected.png). 4. Rotate the image and the missing/distorted crop handles follow the rotated image (attached file Rotated.png). Actual Results: Two crop handles missing, others distorted. Expected Results: 8 crop handles. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Hardware: HP ProBook x360 440 G1 OS: Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2. Do you have used your old user profile or is it the virgin from the new installation? Which screen resolution do you use? You might try these: Reset your user profile, see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile On same level as your user profile there might be a folder 'cache'. Delete it. Try using a different icon theme. The settings are in Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View. The problem is, that you have got a wrong image cropmarkers.svg or cropmarkers.png, for whatever reason. I wonder that you see the problem in a 25.2-version. That was bug 153421, which was fixed last year.
(In reply to Regina Henschel from comment #2) > Do you have used your old user profile or is it the virgin from the new > installation? I purchased the computer second-hand at the end of July 2025. It had been `fully reset' by the previous owner (his words). There was no LibreOffice on it, so I installed LibreOffice. So I guess the answer to your question is `I don't know' because the previous owner might or might not have used LibreOffice and, if he did, `fully reset' might or might not have left an old user profile. > Which screen resolution do you use? If I right-click on my desktop, the display resolution reads: 1920 x 1080 (Recommended) > You might try these: > > Reset your user profile, see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile I followed: Help wizard (LibreOffice 5.3 and newer) ... and confirmed I still had the fault when LibreOffice was showing it was running in Safe Mode. So `If the problem persists, you can exit the safe mode because the user profile was not the cause of the problem.' > On same level as your user profile there might be a folder 'cache'. Delete > it. If Safe Mode has ruled out user profile issue I'd rather not do this. > Try using a different icon theme. The settings are in Tools > Options > > LibreOffice > View. I was on: Automatic (Colibre) I changed to: Breeze ... and the problem was still there. I changed to: Colibre (SVG) ... and: Breeze (SVG) ... and the problem was solved with both themes (the crop handles displayed correctly). One thing I noticed is that on: Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View ... it states `Skia is disabled'. Maybe this is relevant? > The problem is, that you have got a wrong image cropmarkers.svg or > cropmarkers.png, for whatever reason. I wonder that you see the problem in a > 25.2-version. That was bug 153421, which was fixed last year. I searched my entire computer for files with name:cropmarkers: "C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\help\media\icon-themes\svx\res\cropmarkers.svg" Created 13 July 2025, 6:58:36 pm Modified 13 July 2025, 6:58:36 pm (this is before I got the computer) "C:\Users\dward\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\cache\colibre_svg\150\svx\res\cropmarkers.png" Created 6 September 2025, 6:01:04 pm Modified 6 September 2025, 6:01:04 pm "C:\Users\dward\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\cache\breeze_svg\150\svx\res\cropmarkers.png" Created 6 September 2025, 5:57:27 pm Modified 6 September 2025, 5:57:27 pm "C:\Users\dward\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\cache\breeze\150\svx\res\cropmarkers.png" Created 6 September 2025, 5:56:45 pm Modified 6 September 2025, 5:56:45 pm "C:\Users\dward\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\cache\colibre\150\svx\res\cropmarkers.png" Created 6 September 2025, 5:36:54 pm Modified 6 September 2025, 5:36:54 pm (6 September 2025, 5->6pm is when I was experimenting with the icon-themes.) I'll attach the files. (I thought I could compare them with the LibreOffice source and looked in https://git.libreoffice.org/core/ but I couldn't figure out how to search the directory structure of https://git.libreoffice.org/core/.)

You might want to install the help, that fits to your version of LibreOffice. > "C: > \Users\dward\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\cache\colibre_svg\150\svx\res\crop > markers.png" > Created 6 September 2025, 6:01:04 pm > Modified 6 September 2025, 6:01:04 pm That's fine and the cache folder is correct. The path shows, that you use a screen scaling. Otherwise there would not be 150 in the path but 100. The screen scaling of Windows can be seen and altered by a right-click on a free place on the desktop, then item "Display settings" and then item "Scale". To not change anything simply close those dialogs. I would stay with a SVG variant of the icon-theme. The .svg file is transformed to an .png file fitting to your screen scale, when the icon is first time used in LibreOffice. And to have it after first use immediately available, it is stored in the "cache" folder. > > I'll attach the files. (I thought I could compare them with the LibreOffice > source and looked in https://git.libreoffice.org/core/ but I couldn't figure > out how to search the directory structure of > https://git.libreoffice.org/core/.) For searching it is better not to use https://git.libreoffice.org/core/ but https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/. Before entering something in the fields check "core" in the drop-down list "Projects" at the top.
So I have now tried it with the png icon-theme "Colibre" that is used in case of "automatic" and a Windows screen scaling of 150%. I have used a new, admin installation of Version: 25.8.1.1 (X86_64) Build ID: 54047653041915e595ad4e45cccea684809c77b5 CPU threads: 32; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (build 26100); UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-US Calc: threaded I can confirm, that the crop handles are wrong.
Error is, that the cropmarkers.png is scaled to 230x95 pixels in case of my tested 150% screen scaling. It must not be scaled, but has to be in the original size of 153x63 pixels. You can verify that the wrong size is the reason, when you exchange the cropmarkers.png in cache/colibre/150/svx/res with the original one in the path svx/res in share/config/images-colibre.zip in the installation folder.
Can please someone test, whether this problem exists too in other OS than Windows? You need a screen scaling factor >=150%. The code in question is like in https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/vcl/source/image/ImplImageTree.cxx?r=6d0e5ddedec1314dfb8b99db73d171254f0714ed&mo=6271&fi=187#210
