BUG still exist in LibreOffice 5.2.1.2: - for XLS – no images - for XLSX - images exist, but some distortions exist System: openSUSE Linux 13.2 64 bit LO installed from LibreOffice site RPM packages
OK, let's get back to basics, so called triaging. 1. No need for multiple tabs or same diagrams, minimum test case is needed. 2. Xls and Xlsx have different results because they have different filters. Let this one be for XLS only. Added keyword. 3. Those are charts, not diagrams. 4. "made almost the same way" How was this chart created? In Calc or copied from somewhere or exported? You normally get those when creating a chart without data, and enter data after. 5. Can you write step-by-step how to reproduce with a singe chart created from scratch?
Created attachment 127602 [details] original OSD with data table and chart for it In this document chart newly created from data, that exist in same sheet. (P.S. I use Lithuanian interface, were „chart“ is named as international word „diagrama“; and my dictionary says, that meanings of „diagram“ and „chart“ overlap).
Created attachment 127603 [details] ODS with pasted chart This is new document, I only pasted chart from other ODS (i.e. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=127602 ). Chart is OK.
Created attachment 127604 [details] XLS with pasted chart Document with pasted chart saved as XLS is broken. Thus steps to reproduce remained same as described in comment #0
(In reply to Mindaugas Baranauskas from comment #0) > <...> > Steps to reproduce: > 1. Create diagram with LibreOffice Calc > 2. Copy this diagram to new file of LibreOffice Calc > 3. Save in LibreOffice format > 4. Save as in MS Excel format xls <...> > 5. Open MS Excel format xls <...> >
Please excuse, I had some other bugs, and I wasn't careful to read that you already wrote everything in the first post. Copying to new file. So, the title is now fine. For the sake of clarity of the bug for other readers, I'll remove last comments. For XLSX please search other bugs and if not already reported, submit a new bug, and set See also to this one.
