Hi reporter,

which version of JRE do you use?
Comment 2 Jochen 2012-09-12 21:38:00 UTC
@Roman
What´s your opinion: duplicate of bug 44679?
Comment 3 Shurtski 2012-09-12 22:01:44 UTC
Apologies for not listing the platform info it's Windows Vista Home Premium sp2 32bit.

Also exhibits similar JRE with LibreOffice Writer app.

@ Shurtski:

And IS Java installed and OK on your machine?
And, as Jochen asked:
> which version of JRE do you use?

There is more than one way to find out about the Java/JRE version running on your machine; a comprehensive list of such ways to find out is at

  http://javatester.org/version.html

(yes, that page seems to be OK and trustworthy!)

@ Jochen:
> What´s your opinion: duplicate of bug 44679?

A good idea. However, bug 44679 is for Mac OS X. It may be the same bug, of course, but I can’t tell for sure ...

But maybe a duplicate of bug 54248?

If Shurtski answeres that the JRE is OK and running on his machine, this bug is yet another candidate to be added to the “Depends on” list in bug 38046 - “False "Libreoffice requires a Java runtime environment (JRE)" warnings”.

Some day we need to do a little survey of all these “Jave necessary”/“JRE defective”/“JRE error” etc. bugs, and find out which are duplicates of each other, and then forward the remaining/most important ones to the developers. But I can’t do this, at least not now, I’m completely dedicated to a survey of bugs related to Mac Accessibility issues ...

... Do you use a Java-7-version?
Comment 6 Shurtski 2012-10-11 01:05:44 UTC

You have to install a JRE 6, too. Then select this JRE for working with LibreOffice.
The same problem is reported in https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50022 , so I mark this bug as a duplikate - hope the JRE-7-problems would be solved.
