Screenshot of problem

When entering a formula in writer, '{x} over {sqrt(x)}' is missing vertical space between the top of the sqrt and the division bar.

Screenshots attached.

Hi,

Thanks for reporting. I can reproduce this behavior using Linux Mint 15 x64 with LibreOffice Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: c7da99f37197fb1446af07f17ba33978f15e7f6

But, that's on zoom level 100%. If I zoom in, a clear space between the fraction bar and the squareroot is visible. Exporting to PDF also result in a clear and visible distinction between both.

@Dereck: do you experience only this visible 'glitch' when you are on zoom level 100% in LibreOffice, or does it also affect your printing results?

Kind regards,
Joren

Yes, the same behavior happens for me as well.

Related to bug 62355, bug 65229, and bug 65774, would you say?
Comment 7 Julien Nabet 2013-08-23 04:26:08 UTC
On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today and with 4.1 sources updated 1 week ago, I've got "expression faulty" when I insert the formula.
Any idea why?

While no space is apparent while editing the formula, after leaving edit
mode, the resulting figure is correct on 4.0.2.2

Thank you for your feedback Dereck, so we can put it as WFM.
