Conditional formatting was deleted when the contents of the cell was deleted. This applied to simple conditions such as values between two numbers and more complex conditions based on formula. Conditional formatting was deleted whether the spreadsheet was protected or not. This bug was present in early version 4.0, gone in 4.0.4.2 and is in 4.1.2.2. I do not know what version it returned in. REPRODUCING THE BUG Create conditional format value between 1 & 10, Style = Result (Bold/Underline/Italic) enter 0, condition not activated enter 1, condition activated, 1 in bold, italic underlined. enter 10, condition activated Check conditional formats (Format/ Conditional Format/Manage --Conditional Format is listed Delete 10 Enter 10 Conditional format is not activated. Check conditional formats (Format/ Conditional Format/Manage No conditional formats are listed.
Maybe this behaviour is related to the "delete" issue as discussed in Bug 69709. > Delete 10 > Enter 10 > Conditional format is not activated. Actually, the "delete" key deletes all the cell formatting, not only the "conditional formating", so when you "delete 10" there is no formating. 4.1.2.2 seems to be the first version this happens.
