Problem description: Using the autosave to file feature without manually saving before the autosave time is reached, this creates a loop where LibreOffice Writer continually tries to save the file and the program becomes unusable. Steps to reproduce: 1. Turn on autosave feature 2. Create a new document without manually saving 3. Wait for the autosave time to countdown 4. Program loops trying to autosave the file Operating System: Mac OS X Version: 4.2.3.3 release
not reproducible under Win7x64 using LibO 4.2.3.3 maybe a MacOS specific bug? I add a Mac QA tester to CC list and a more extensive description in summary notes
Hi, I have the same issue on Ubuntu. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78360
I confirm it works fine in Win7x64 but according to comment 2 I set status to NEW and platform to ALL (MacOS and Ubuntu). please, try upgrading to newly released LibO 4.2.4.2 and tell if bug persists. moreover, please describe in more detail what you mean "program loops tryng to autosave"
I have the issue in the following LO versions, too: 4.1.5.3 4.1.6.2 (Build az.: 40ff705089295be5be0aae9b15123f687c05b0a) 4.2.4.2 (Build az.: 63150712c6d317d27ce2db16eb94c2f3d7b699f8) 4.2.5.0.0+ (Build ID: bac09c5da376c2874c677169e4329be0a4a10cf3)
If the file that is open has not been saved within the time set in the autosave settings, when the program attempts to autosave the file that is open then it will continually loop the save function. I have just updated to the version 4.2.4.2, will attempt to replicate the bug.
