Created attachment 114203 [details] Zip containing the two examples documents When opening doc or docx created under microsoft office (i don't know which exact version), the display of some part of document is broken. I have two documents in attachment opened under libreoffice 4.4.1 where i encounter the issue. The document nammed example1.doc contains WMF images which are tables and under libreoffice the cells are empty, i can't see the content. The document example2.docx when opened under libroffice some images are misplaced and some background are displayed in white instead in color.
Please split this report in two. Let's say you keep this one for the .doc and create another one for the .docx. Please also attach a PDF saved from Microsoft Word, so testers can see the difference. Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the PDF.
Created attachment 114296 [details] PDF saved from office to show how it's rendered
I have updated the issue by adding the pdf saved from office to show how it's rendered
Ok I noticed you split the docx thing to bug 90192, good. I'm not seeing any problems with table contents with the doc, however. In the 1st page the 0000 and Dupont.. texts are positioned differently and starting from pg 2 the contents are out of sync. I'll still set to NEW and attach my PDF output from LibreOffice and you can comment on it.

Created attachment 114302 [details] Last pages of document saved from libreoffice This pdf has been saved from LibreOffice 4.4.1.2, this is just the last pages of document. There is WMF tables and the cells are blanked instead to have content. I had edited the original .doc under microsoft office 2007 to replace personnal data with random text

You could try resetting your user profile to see, if it fixes the problem: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/User_Profile#Resolving_corruption_in_the_user_profile
I have resetted my profile and it's the same, i know what's happened when i had replaced personnal data with random text. With microsoft office i had done right-click on the table and then selected modify the image, from this point the text was editable in the table, i have replaced the personnal data with random text. After that, i had saved the document, then opened under LibreOffice the cells of table aren't blank. I can't attatch here the original document because it contains personnal data, if i remove it how i have explained above the issues doesn't appear.

I have just tested it with LibreOffice 5.1.2.2 on windows 10 64 bits and it's almost fixed. If you open the pdf saved from office you will from the second page that there is a vertical text in orange on the right of the page, this text doesn't appear on document opened in libreoffice.

Problems still exist in LO 6.4+: 1. In the 1st page the 0000 and Dupont.. texts are positioned differently in AutoShape 2. starting from pg 2 the contents are out of sync 3. header and footer content in page is wrong, vertical text and table. This issue will hardly be resolved for two reasons: multiple problems are rarely solved and document was created in a wrong manual way. And especially that if DOC is saved in MSO as DOCX, 1. opens the same and 2. is a problem both in MSO and LO. 3. is the most important bug here. related to other bugs, there's bug 74334. Import is better from DOCX, although not perfect. That would require minimal example. I'll report separately unless I find a duplicate. All in all, this report is of no value.
