When you change the name of a file in the Finder (or by the command line or other means), LibreOffice does not track that it is the same file. This is not the norm on OS X for Apple programs *or* others. Shown here: http://prescottcomputerguy.com/tmp/lo/libreoffice-name-change/
It is a strange idea to change the name of a file when it is being edited. I suggest to close this report as NotOurBug. Best regards. JBF

JBF On OS X it is not that uncommon, in fact, many OS X programs have the feature built into the window of the application. Here is an example I made for someone in a different forum to show how it is used: http://tmp.gallopinginsanity.com/os-x-move-rename/ This same feature, if fixed, would likely lead to the "Open Recent" feature working as it does on most OS X programs - if you move or rename a file, you can still access it from the Open Recent file menu (and Dock menu, too). Right now it works with the Dock menu but not the file menu.
