A Writer document in 5.0.2 crashes the program in Windows 10 in two separate computers when a print job is sent to a Canon 922 printer - one directly connected via usb and the other via a network. I have reinstalled 5.0.1 and find that there is no problem with this version.
Could you attach the document or any other that causes the crash?
Created attachment 119250 [details] This writer doc crashes 5.0.2.2 but not 5.0.1.2 This file was imported from a web site with the font changed to Verdana 10 and the page margins adjusted to 0.5 in all around.
I think you mean 5.0.2.2 and 5.0.1.2
no crash printing test file under Win8.1 x64 using LibO 5.1.0.0.alpha1+ (x64) and an HP printer. Build ID: 8c7ba16ba4bdedb4354f342b20d5a5de8a132b48 TinderBox: Win-x86_64@62-TDF, Branch:MASTER, Time: 2015-09-24_21:53:09 Locale: it-IT (it_IT)
I can reproduce the crash with the attached file and with another personal docuument that I cannot share. I use a windows 10 64bits edition (x86-64), a network attached HP 8600 plus printer and I'm using 64bits edition of libreoffice (5.0.2.2) and, as the poster, I had no problem with the older version. I've also noticed some strange pink artefacts on the printing dialog, near the number of copy.
thanks Didier, we have a confirmation so status -> NEW regarding the pink artefact is this something like the one described in Bug 94741?
Yes exactly, sorry for the late answer..
Could you please try to get a backtrace: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/How_to_get_a_backtrace_with_WinDbg I recommend using Separate Install GUI tool from http://tdf.io/siguiexe which downloads and extracts different LO versions, without installing, so you may test different versions. In this case, it would be nice to test 5.1.0.1 and master (which is current 5.2), in both architectures: 32-bit and 64-bit.
