In Microsoft PowerPoint Slide Show mode, we can use the hotkeys to switch the function of the cursor: Ctrl+p -> Draw Pen Ctrl+l -> Laser Pen Ctrl+e -> Eraser PowerPoint Hotkeys Ref: https://support.office.com/en-US/article/Use-keyboard-shortcuts-to-deliver-your-presentation-1524FFCE-BD2A-45F4-9A7F-F18B992B93A0 With the hotkeys support, we can use the software, AutoHotKey, to map some input controller, e.g. the Wacom stylus pen buttons, to these hotkeys. So, we can easily switch the pen mode immediately by pressing the pen button in Slide Show mode. This fast switch action doesn't make the audiences lose their focuses on the slide content. Actually, I confirm this is workable with PowerPoint on my ASUS M80TA tablet. Please Impress support those several hotkeys. Thanks very much.
What is laser pen in Impress? Impress does not have an eraser function. It can only erase all the pen drawings in the slide.
Hello Beluga, Yes, you are right. Impress doesn't have the laser pen and the eraser. However, I hope Impress supports them and the hotkeys.
Yeah, those should be separate feature requests. Changing summary.
Ok, thanks.
P and E are supported after bug 134281 got solved, but laser pointer is a missing feature. Leaving this as dependent on the implementation of that feature.
