How presentation look when open odp.

Problem description:

A pptx file is opened normally. After save in odp format and re open, master slide is damaged and look like blurry colour patches. Vector drawings embedded into presentation appear to be distorted in size or disappear.

In the attached screenshot (Slide 6) there is a part of an arc that should be small, but is so large that only part of it is visible.

When scrolling such screen, those colour patches are fickering, changing and significant CPU usage is observed.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Get a pptx created somewhere with custom made master slide.
2. Save it as odp.
3. Close application.
4. Open created odp and observe differences

Current behavior:
Master slide aplied incorrectly.

Expected behavior:
master slide on odp must be the same as in pptx.

Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 4.0.2.2 release

Please attach a document which meets requirements from #1 - a pptx with custom master slide. Then we can easily test the document and see what you are talking about.

Marking as NEEDINFO, once you attach document mark the bug as UNCONFIRMED and we will take a look at it.

pptx document that has changed background when saved/opened as odp

I confirm problem and attach pptx document that shows ok when opened, but no longer when saved as odp and reopened.

Problem reproducible with
version 4.0.4.2 on Windows,
version Version 4.0:build-302 (Build ID: 400m0(Build:302)) on openSUSE 12.3
and version 4.2.0.0alpha+.

Steps to reproduce problem:
1. open pptx document
2. save as odp
3. close document
4. open odp document, background has changed (detoriated).

PPTX and ODP screenshot 4.1.4.2

issue confirmed on Win7 64bit using 4.1.4.2
however the background corruption is different from your original screenshot.
background turns all black (see new screenshot)

I believe this is the same issue as Bug 60085

same bug with AOO 4.0.0 as well, only difference is that background color turns azure instead of black.

I see no difference in 4.3.0.beta2 (just my default one ATM, didn't try other versions) on Ubuntu.

Others ?
thanks,
Cor

Tested with attachment 82254 [details] and steps as in comment #2 with version 4.2.5.2 on Windows 7: problem does not occur.
It looks like this bug report can be set to resolved fixed :-)
