Tomaz implemented this feature in 5.0 for Writer, so it would be useful to also have it in Calc.

In bug 91495, Tomaz added the ability to disable the preview, so that should also be implemented with this feature.

I support this bug request, if I understand it correctly:
Cell styles list on the side bar of calc would be formatted, highlighted and with borders, corresponding to the style. Smth like this

This is an old bug - is it being ignored?
It makes applying styles a bit of a pain...

Unfortunately, no one takes care of it for now.
