In Impress and Draw, once you select a shape, another click will change to rotate mode and a click after that will change back to select mode. This is not available in Writer or Calc, where you have to click the rotate button in the toolbar in order to rotate.

I solved this problem for writer https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/27995/ . Already working on calc.

Gülşah's fix has been reverted on master, so it needs re-evaluation.

Affects both Calc and Writer, for all drawing objects (duplicates talk about fontwork and shapes).
