Note: The "Slide Sorter" is _not_ the side pane which has small views of all slides appearing in vertical order. That is the "Slide pane", whose issues are tracked in bug 102283.

The "Slide Sorter" is a view mode for the main pane, alternative to "Normal", "Outline", "Notes" etc.; you can switch to it via the View menu.
