That seems rather... phone-based, doesn't it? The URL resolves to a tg://  URL which AFAICT you can't decipher with Firefox.

Telegram is available as a desktop client - https://desktop.telegram.org/ - and a browser client - https://telegram.org/dl/webogram

I went to the second link - it asked for a phone number. I went to the first link, downloaded a binary - and that asked for a phone number. I like you guys, but I don't want to mix up my phone and my LibreOffice Q&A work :-(

Also, isn't Telegram used for very-short-term chatting? Sorry for the nagging, but I've never seen a Bugzilla page refer to a smartphone chat group before.

It asks for a phone number to send you an SMS with a verification code.

We chat in it like others chat in IRC or whatsapp, but our chats are logged, so even if you joined today, you can see the discussions that happened a week ago. I use the desktop app, as i hate chatting on smartphones.
