FYI: some bugs have the whiteboard keyword needsKDE.
Please use this for issues that are exclusively related to the KDE backend.
Seems related to https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123232
so i tried libreoffice-impress 6.2.2.2 from the ubuntu ppa (fresh) together with kde-plasma 5.15.3 frameworks 5.56.0 qt 5.12 kernel 4.18.0-16-generic and there are some showstoppers 1) when loading a template on impress start it's impossible to write into a textfield > resizing the window and maximizing it several times sometimes "unlocks" the textareas again. 2) more important ! starting a presentation displays a big white window (with windowboarders and scrollbars) or starts the control screen (on dualscreen) but no slideshow or doesn't start at all... it just doesn't work! removing the package "libreoffice-kde5" makes everything work again (but it looks ugly :-( )
i just tried libreoffice 6.3 master writing in textareas from specific templates is now possible again starting a presentation is also fixed.. no weird behaviour anymore..
(In reply to thomas from comment #5) > i just tried libreoffice 6.3 master > > writing in textareas from specific templates is now possible again > > starting a presentation is also fixed.. no weird behaviour anymore.. Thanks for sharing your experience with us and good to hear the issues you had have been fixed already. Should you encounter any additional bugs, please open separate bug reports for these. This here is a meta bug, i.e. it doesn't deal with any bug descriptions directly, but just has them set as dependencies (s. the "Depends on" field) in order to keep track of all kde-related issues.
Note that there's now a separate meta bug to track issues with the QPainter path of the qt5 VCL plugin: bug 125943
I've added an enhancement bug 130857 for all the theming bugs, which can be very likely fixed by using LO's weld interface and closed a few already known problems as duplicates.
